- ADVENTURER BUSINESSMAN BOATER/FISHERMAN CAR COLLECTOR
I REALLY AM FORTUNATE TO BE ABLE TO LIVE EXACTLY THE WAY I WANT. THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT IT'S EASY. I HAVE BUILT MY LIFE AROUND DOING THE THINGS THAT I LOVE. I'M IN MY 70'S NOW, BUT I STILL WORK EVERY DAY...BECAUSE IT DOESN'T FEEL LIKE WORK. I ESPECIALLY LOVE WORKING WITH MY DAUGHTER SHARI. I REALLY DON'T APPRECIATE THE COLD, SO I SPEND MY WINTERS IN ISLAMORADA FLORIDA BOATING AND FISHING. AS I ALWAYS SAY...THIS AIN'T NO DRESS REHEARSAL.
Peggy and I have been together over twenty years. We were married in Abaco Bahamas on March 25, 2006. I couldn't ask for a better partner. She is exceptionally kind, loyal, and fun to be with. She shares all of my destinations with me...showing trust in me to make good choices, that some people might consider questionable sometimes. Our travels usually have something to do with being near the ocean...we are drawn there. It is very fitting that her favorite colors are definitely variations on the blue of the ocean. We have decorated several homes together, but the colors and materials choices usually come from her decorating genius. She can pick things that go together tastefully like no one that I have ever known. She is an incredibly talented decorator.
Peggy is a lover of all living things...especially animals. She really loves dogs, cats, dolphins, giraffes, tigers, zebras, lions, whales, all kinds of birds...and almost anything from the animal kingdom. She absolutely has the kindest heart...she sees the best in people and never has anything negative to say about anyone.
Peggy is an amazing balance for me, since I sometimes experience some negativity in the business world, and she keeps me grounded and balanced in my view of the world. She always reminds me to think about all the nice people I meet at work.
I am very blessed to get to hang with Peggy.
Family is very important I am exceptionally proud of my kids. They have always been very good people. They treat everyone with respect and kindness. They have also been very responsible for themselves. They have never complained about anything or even asked anything of me. Of course I would do anything that I could for them. They are actually my best friends. What is better than that?
My oldest...Shari, works with me running our two businesses. She is very capable of running both businesses by herself. Shari has a great way with people. People soon see her sincerity and knowledge, and know that they can trust her. She is exceptionally organized, and diligent about everything. She also has several other interests, including music...she performs regularly with at least a couple of bands. She also is the Jeep Girl. Her website ShazzStyles caters to women that have Jeep Wranglers. Shari has a son Connor who grew up around our businesses from birth. It was awesome that Shari brought Connor to work, and he and I would play every day at the office when he was a child. Pretty amazing. Connor now has a career in the car business. He is definitely a gear head like the rest of us...maybe more so even. He loves photographing cars...he did the beautiful photo shoot of my personal car collection.
My son...Bruce III lives in beautiful Colorado. We share a strong interest in Boston sports teams. We can talk for hours about the Patriots, Celtics and Bruins. He is known as the "number freak" because he is all about numbers...statistical probability is his forte. He uses his expertise to analyze the stock market, sports performance, and in his accounting job at a casino. His mind is amazing. Sometimes he will go into long descriptions of his theories that are so complicated that I have trouble keeping up. Brilliant! Besides numbers, his strong interests are sports and music where he is very talented as well. Bruce is a self taught musician...playing several instruments, singing on, writing and producing his own songs. He is very well liked by everyone because, again...his sincerity comes through immediately.
They are all great people! I'm very proud and thankful that they are part of my network. We all value each others' input for important decisions I'm a lucky man.
We lost a valuable member of our family during 2022...our Bengal Cat Hunter. Peggy and I got him from a breeder in Portland Maine. He really didn't enjoy riding home in the car at first. We soon found out that he liked music because he stopped crying and relaxed when we turned on the radio. He would eventually become an excellent traveler...both driving to Florida with us and flying to the Bahamas or the Florida Keys.
We think that he really enjoyed our lifestyle. He loved being a snowbird and a Florida cat. We definitely miss the big guy.
