Islamorada Florida - My dock has the American flag and my twin engine boat...right in front of our three story town house.
Our unit has the rooftop deck out back and the red BMW
My Stamas Aventura 31T with twin 300 HP Suzuki outboard engines. that sits on the lift 30 feet from my door...just waiting for whenever I want to go out.
Spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean. We are on a protected lagoon but with easy access to open water.
Three floors of living...all with 12 foot wide sliders showing ocean views.
Nice protected area with another wide slider where I can bring my bike inside. This level is like a studio apartment with a kitchen and bath and living room. A man cave for me with all my fishing gear and bicycle and motorcycle.
Peggy likes to sit out on the patio with her music while I am fishing...communing with all the birds..
Peggy and I had fun completely renovating all living areas.
This development was started in the 1970's around the lagoon that was formed by digging up materials (fill) for the causeways between the islands. I would look across the lagoon at this neighborhood as I was driving by on Route 1A back in the 1980's...imagining that it was a good place to live. Who knew that I would buy a place here 30 years later.
A short canal ride brings us to Florida Bay and on to the Atlantic in minutes. We are on a protected lagoon but with easy access to open water.
I love my dock. An electric boat lift to keep the boat safe...a nice cleaning station with running fresh water and electricity...and the flag of course.
